Perini, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iabc.com\">ABC<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/periniassociates.com\">perini &amp; associates<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I often have clients that only want to use marketing and promotional tools that are FREE!<\/p>\n<p>Well, that&acirc;&euro;&trade;s great for some activities and events to gain awareness and attendance but cannot always be counted on as the major method for moving target audiences.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/periniassociates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/TMJPeriniAd2j1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-2444\" title=\"TMJPeriniAd2j\" src=\"https:\/\/periniassociates.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/TMJPeriniAd2j1-239x300.jpg\" alt=\"LinkedIn logo with white and blue color scheme.\" width=\"239\" height=\"300\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So, what is the role of advertising?&Acirc;&nbsp; The easy answer, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mediacenteronline.com\/visitor\/index.aspx\"><em>The Media Center,<\/em><\/a> is that &acirc;&euro;&oelig;advertising helps sell a product or service.&acirc;&euro;<\/p>\n<p>Beyond that, advertising can reinforce a company&acirc;&euro;&trade;s marketing efforts by providing information to customers and the marketplace while creating and enhancing a company&acirc;&euro;&trade;s identity and image.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a list of marketing, information and identify\/image reasons to consider:<\/p>\n<p>Marketing Reasons:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advertising enables you to hold onto existing customers<\/li>\n<li>Advertising enables you to reach new customers<\/li>\n<li>Advertising gives you an advantage over competitors who have stopped advertising<\/li>\n<li>Advertising gives you long-term advantage over competitors who cut back or cancel their advertising.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Information Reasons<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advertising reaches your customers regardless of their reading, listening and viewing habits<\/li>\n<li>Advertising creates long-term memory<\/li>\n<li>Advertising helps customers decide<\/li>\n<li>Advertising keeps your business top of mind<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Identity\/Image Reasons<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Advertising strengthens your identity<\/li>\n<li>Advertising keeps a healthy and positive image of your company<\/li>\n<li>Advertising maintains morale<\/li>\n<li>Advertising improves your business&acirc;&euro;&trade; image<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Remember, people won&acirc;&euro;&trade;t know you&acirc;&euro;&trade;re out there unless your get the word out.&Acirc;&nbsp; Continual advertising builds awareness and trust in your company. &Acirc;&nbsp;Look, people forget and they forget fast.&Acirc;&nbsp; They are bombarded with messages, an estimated 2,700 a day.&Acirc;&nbsp; The more impressions you make, the longer people will remember your ad and your company.<\/p>\n<p>So much for the science.&Acirc;&nbsp; The art is figuring out where to advertise and when.&Acirc;&nbsp; We will discuss that in a future post.<\/body><\/html><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Michael B.
