Mike – Please click into and review all items linked within the list below. These are only old posts to start this project since I have a better idea for your pages, so let’s do this in phases. I would suggest either completing one of the following for every single one of these still-published-items:

 

    1. Delete them: However, PLEASE copy and paste the entire URL of the post before deleting any so that I can properly confirm the redirect gets input correctly. I’d suggest making an email draft or word document where you can save/paste all the page URL’s that you end up deleting. Please send that list over to me once finished.
    2. Re-categorize them: Similarly to how you would assign a category to a brand new post you publish, I’d suggest going back to the edit mode of WordPress and re-assigning each of the posts below to a different category. Right now I have your Blog Archive, https://periniassociates.com/index.php/blog/, pulling all categories to show every single post you have on the frontend of the website. (If you go to that main archive blog page and continue to click through “older posts” at the very bottom of the pages, you’ll be able to scroll through and view all 209 posts. If you would like to still save some of these posts in the backend of the site but don’t want the public to view them, I have created a new category called “Unpublished” that you can assign a post to. Please be sure to delete ALL other categories that post might also be assigned too since one post can live within many different categories. Any items assigned to this new “Unpublished” category will automatically be “un-viewable” on the frontend of the site so these posts can stay saved within your database but not found anywhere on the frontend. PLEASE also copy and paste the entire URL of any post you decide to re-categorize within “Unpublished” so that I can confirm the redirect is correct.

Once you run through this cleanup process for all of your blog posts, we can then move on to all your pages next. I’d like to regroup for an alternative process for pages since those should be quicker to clean up due to how those are published, aka much more different than posts. Let me know if you’d like to add another idea than the two above as well or have alternative suggestions for this process!
